Eye on the Sky

This photo was taken by me on 18th November 2012, while going back home from Thailand trip. Since small I always love to see clouds and take photos. Its fun to see the appearance of things or animals at sky according to imagination. But this time what I saw was a pair of eyes. It remained for 5 minutes from 7pm. I took this photo nearby the LaFarge cement factory. I think around Chemor.

I clicked this shot while my uncle was driving fast. None of them in the car knew about it. Even I noticed it after the first click and checked in the cam screen. Then when I realized, I put my head outside of the window and clicked many shots as I can take.

Still can't managed to find the eyes...here I've put arrow for you...!

 weird rite...?

okay...here it is...I hope it's still can be seen:)

My Vacation to Hatyai & Krabi

Krabiiii...here I come...:) Actually it was planned 3 months back. Not by me, but my Auntie and Uncle. So I was not sure whether I am in the vacation trip or not, due to many reasons but at last I made it. So here goes my story.

15th November 12
My journey starts from KL. I took bus to Ipoh and joined with my Auntie family and went with their vehicle. After 4 hours journey we stopped at Changlun. Changlun is a main border town in Kedah. Around this area you can see many coffee shops (mainly owned by Chinese). Here they are providing services to prepare our travel documentation such as filling up embarkation card(printed version), cover note and car grant (for insurance) form preparation and hotel bookings and money changer as well. Its better to change more than enough because the interest rate is less at the border.

IMG_3261
Baht...

They charge RM10 for the documentation services and for the hotel booking they request for full payment. They will be giving you a receipt upon your payment. Do not forget to get the hotel address and keep the receipt in safe.

After had our tea at the coffee shop and getting the documentations done, we headed straight to Bukit Kayu Hitam customs which is around 8km from Changlun. Then at Sadao customs we encountered a problem. My Uncle and Auntie whom have been to Phuket last year forgot to clear the car insurance cover note when checking out from there. So they were fined RM200 at the customs department. The officers were friendly and had explained the procedures and everything was settled in smooth. Left Sadao at 7.30pm.

Reached our hotel at about 8pm and checked in with the receipt from Changlun. It's Siam Center Hotel and it is in the middle of Hatyai town. The rooms were neat and clean with superb view from the 11th floor with reasonable room price RM95 per night.

IMG_3254

But the washroom was little uncomfortable for me. And its not getting full mark for cleanliness and it has no hose or washer pipe fixed at the toilet. So we had some difficulties in using it but somehow we managed to overcome the situation successfully... ! Pheeewww...!

IMG_3250
Look the stain mark around the photo frame...first of all is the frame needed in the toilet?

After freshened up ourselves, we planned to have dinner at outside. Few meters away from the hotel there were a lot of food stalls and souvenior shops. But don't get surprise if you see massage centers and saloons at every street, every corner you turn your head:)

IMG_2941
Sweet start with Leng Chee Kang....!

IMG_2946
This is the look of Hatyai street at night. Full of peoples and their activities.

While walking all along the street we found a travel agency which provides shuttle van and boat ride services to beach and islands such as Krabi, Koh Samui, Koh Lipe, Koh Phi Phi. You also can find a tour guide service to the best tourism spot at Songkhla. After considering it as a reasonable price, we booked the 2 way shuttle service to Krabi beach. It cost about RM29 per person (for 1 way). These charges are only for the transport from Hatyai to Krabi town. After all arrangements and payments done, our legs stopped at...where else of course to the nearby massage center. My closes friend Murali who visited to Thailand (for work purpose of course) more than he visited his own hometown, always makes me jealous with his massage experience especially for leg one. He strongly recommended me to do not miss out the massage whenever I had a chance to visit there. And now I'm here...then how do I miss it? Yes, I and my aunt did leg message together after had our dinner. Its only cost RM20 per hour.

16th November 12
Morning 9.30am the shuttle van fetched us from the hotel entrance. Its was advisable to take heavy breakfast because it takes 4 hours to reach Krabi (no worries the driver stopped after 2 hours for a break at a restaurant). I think its best to take flight and go to Krabi if your vacation spot is ONLY to Krabi. Because 8 hours of your time will be just wasted by traveling. If there are some visiting spots along the journey where you can stop-by to see some interesting places means okay. But what I saw was hills at both sides, palm trees, rubber trees and trees and houses. So don't do the mistake that we did.

At about 2pm we reached the Krabi town. Since we never booked any hotels for our stay, the driver brought us to nearby shop where they provide the hotel booking services. Its like everything is there. And you don't have to worry about anything or any feeling of lost. We informed our budget and they booked 2 rooms in Baan Pulaoon Hotel at Aonang Beach (RM160 per room with b/fast). Aonang Beach is 20mins from Krabi town. So the driver charged us RM40 to took us there. But if you take Tuk Tuk, they still charge you the same. Tuk Tuk is a cab cum bus/van. Yeah that's best description I can give.

IMG_2974
Tuk Tuk....

Okay...now we are at Aonang Beach. In front of the Baan Pulaoon Hotel. Well, I was expecting a beach view hotel, but what we got was a three floor apartment type hotel near the main road.

The outlook of the hotel....

The outlook may be not so grand or fail to impress, but believe me the rooms and their hospitality are heaven. It was so clean and very comfortable. Luckily we got the room facing the green jungle view. Its the hotel's backyard view. It was so cooling and peaceful.

IMG_2952
its a room with double bed but since we requested they added a single bed..

clean and comfortable washroom...

What's next..? Of course the best rest! We took short nap and refreshed ourselves to get ready for shopping at Krabi night market. Its actually at the Krabi town where at first the shuttle service driver stopped for us to book the hotel. And here are some photos of night market.

17th November 12
After had our breakfast at the hotel, we were ready to our boating adventure as planned. Oh yeah forgot to write here about the plan. Krabi is famous for its beautiful islands. This Baan Pulaoon Hotel also provide boat trip to islands, snorkeling, canoeing and many adventures activities. We chose the boat trip to 4 islands which cost us RM340. So after had our breakfast we left to the beach at 8.30am. We went to Rayley Bay, Tap Island (Koh Tap), Chicken Island (Koh Gai), and Poda Island (Koh Poda).

My foot print...

This Raylay Bay best known as beautiful beach. It has nothing but heaven. The water is crystal clear and the sand...ohh..so white and clean. Of course you can stay here if you wanted to feel the adventures life of Tom Hanks in Cast Away...hehehe:) Yes, nobody lives here! And there is no boating available after 6pm here.
The next island we went was to Tap Island. This island is very special. It has 2 shores at both side. Something like you have seen it in the ending of 3 Idiots Hindi movie. I didn't take any picture of it because it was flooded with many people. Such a crowd till it makes my mood out to get down there to take pictures. Then we moved to Chicken Island and the boatman stopped at right place for snorkeling.

IMG_3148
Chicken Island...looks like chicken laying rite:)

IMG_3168
Snorkeling time...at Chicken Island

IMG_3198
Poda Island...

The last was Poda Island. Its another heaven and the best among four. Guess why? Because they had a restaurant and washrooms facilities there. It's best to choose this island as your last stop. Because it will be easy for you to change your clothing after had swam at the previous islands.(*i think the boatman knows it well*)

After the island tour, we got back to the hotel at 1.30pm and checked out after an hour later. Yes, that's not the checkout time, but since the lady owner of the hotel Mrs.Velita was so understanding so she allocated us one room for changing and pack our things. She is very friendly and the only person who can speak good English among the people I met there. The hotel was run by her whole family and relatives. The transport and boating comes under her brothers, reception and refreshment taken care by herself and her sisters. And cleaning and room service done by her young and hardworking cousins.

IMG_3232
Mrs. Velita...

Left Krabi with heavy heart but with enjoyable experience and of course with tanned skin. But that's okay. It can be recover within a week or two. Reached Hatyai at 7pm. The shuttle service dropped us at in front of our hotel. Yeah its the same Siam Center Hotel. We booked that day itself before we left to Krabi, because we parked our vehicle underground where we found its the free and safest parking while we are away.

This time we got the interconnected room. So very easy and convenient for us. Headed to the Hatyai night market after had our quick shower. After dinner, shopping..shopping and shopping till 11pm. Called for Thai massage service to the room. Again its for me and aunt. They charged us RM 30 per hour. Then slept at 2am after tea and some chit chat with kids.

18th November 12
Checked out at 12pm and headed to the town for lunch. All the way you can see Buddha everywhere.

But the wire too is going through everywhere...

Holding handbag as her sunshade...!

After lunch while slightly getting tired and sleepy, this scene provoked me very much and I captured her act. Actually there is a reason and story for this photo. You can see a lady holding her handbag as her sunshade rite! Can we do that in Malaysia...? While moving on the road..? Like in wide and open area..? I'm sure you are slowly shaking your head right to left, but still wanted to say that Malaysia is far better than Thailand rite? Believe me, Thailand is the safest country where you can move anywhere without any fear with friendly people around:) Phop kan mai...:)

Deepavali 2012

Taken on the eve just after done...

Happy Deepavali to everybody. This is my Deepavali kolam for this year. Self designed you know! Its made of dried grated coconut. Actually you can get it from the coconut milk shop. Its an unused thing, and usually will be thrown after the milk been squeezed out. The perfect colours to be used for colour mixing is the one which we use for cake colouring.

Taken on the Deepavali day...

I Don't Wanted To Be A STALKER, So I Deleted You!

YES...I admit that I was dying to have you in my friend list, just to see your status updates, your postings, your photos and your comments. But once you accepted my friend request, I am not "MYSELF" anymore..! I was restless and felt that I can't move freely in  Facebook . I keep on thinking, "does my sharing disturbs you?", "does my postings bothers you?", "will you like or comment on my status ?" , and I drop the idea of uploading my new profile pic every time, thinking you won't like it..!!! I started to focus on you so much as though you are my only friend in my FB. In fact, I get worried when there are no postings from you. I trace your FB account almost everyday to make sure you have not "unfriend" or "hide" me from seeing your wall post or "blocked" me at any time :(  I'm too get so jealous when some other girls wrote on your wall.

"What the heck is this..."! Shiznits...!!! I am stalking you, man! Enough...this is too much..! And I don't wanted to be a stalker. So, I deleted you...:) Living happily ever after unfriend you....!

"Have You Taken the Free Gift..?"

Recently a new tactic been used by stand-alone shop promoters at shopping complexes nowadays. They will be stopping you and ask "have u taken the free gift?" if you heard this...BEWARE...! They will start to giving you a small demo of their product such as an induction cooker, s/steel cookware set, water vacuum, water filter and microwave oven. Then you’ll be given 2 coupons to tear off which contains voucher as a token of appreciation for listening their demo. And the DRAMA starts after this...
  1. For sure you'll be getting a RM100 / RM1000 voucher or 2 products as free gift.
  2. The promoter will be shocked as though he never ever saw any customer gets this coupon before.
  3. While the other promoters will be crowded around you and will be looking at your coupons unbelievably.
  4. At this time you will feel “Oh my god..! I think I’m the luckiest one! I must grab the free gift then..!
  5. Then he will say, "wait let me call my boss to confirm whether its correct coupon or not".
  6. From their conversation you'll know it’s a special bumper prize, only have 10 coupons are out for the lucky winners and today is the last day to redeem the gift.
  7. Then the promoter will pass his phone to you, by saying "my boss wanted to talk to you".
  8. The boss will be asking you whether you know the promoter before, or friends or related..then will be requesting you to read the serial number behind the coupon... then ask u to pass back to the promoter.
  9. Later the promoter will be asking you it’s  must to purchase one of the item to redeem the 2 free gifts.
  10. And the price of one item is definitely RM3K above and you will be thinking it’s worth coz you are going to get 2 item.
  11. They will inform you can pay it as monthly basis. But will also give you another option, that you can pay it easily if you have credit card. If you agree, immediately they will swipe off and will inform you certain party will deduct approx RM 100 for you card.
  HOW TO ACT SMART.
  1. Take out your smart phone (if you have one), tell them you are searching for the brand whether it has good reputation in the market or not. And slight watch their face reaction.
  2. Ask their company registration number, silently move aside and immediately call security commission to get the company is trusted or been forged.
  3. If the boss talking to you in the phone and asking the above mentioned questions to you, ask them back, "What type of boss you are? How can you facilitate this big amount of deal by just a single phone call?"
Believe me friends, I dun wish to say it’s a SCAM, but you would have not heard of their BRAND name before or there is no branch office here since the products are German made. Weird rite? If you ask them where is the main office they will say it is at Giant Hypermarket, Bandar Puteri, Puchong and soon will be opening an outlet here. I had gone through this situation few months back. But since my mom felt it’s maybe a kind of cheating, she was not interested and stopped me from taking the offer. Today I regret a lot for not sharing the info with others because my friend experienced the same thing and had swiped off RM2K above from her credit card. And when she searched for the BRAND name in the net she found out few blog link regarding this issue. Try read the related blogs. Thanks to the bloggers.

I am a Goat....Earth Goat....Not a Monkey...!

1980 was monkey year in Chinese zodiac calender. So since small my friends and cousins used to tease me with some monkey related jokes. I felt so so embarrassed yet put a smile on my face. When grown up, I threatened them "hey monkey is Lord Hanuman ok..don't play play!" But then people started something else. Predictions...! Its like since I was born in monkey year, I must have some character of it and make fun of me. So sad I can't tease them back because most of my friends turned out to be Tiger or dragon year babies.

BUT...one day, I saw a Chinese astrology books in the bookshop. I was searching for monkey year and found it. It's a 2 inch English book which are the monkeys were divided into 5 elements such as metal, water, wood, fire and earth. Interesting rite. So when I search for my element type, my date of birth was not included. Guess what? Chinese New Year in 1980 falls on 15th February. It means the babies born before that date was Goat year babies. I am Goat....Earth Goat....Not Monkey...! So now nobody can tease me I can jump tree to tree...ah...! Be careful...! Ha..ha..ha...:) Here is the link for you all to see what was you actual year in Chinese Zodiac. http://www.chinesezodiac.com/calculator.php

Fraser Hill & Chiling Waterfalls

It has been a week ago...but Fraser Hill trip is still fresh in my mind. Four of us went there for a night stay. Me, Gayathri, Prema and Sanggitha. It was an awesome trip for us. First, when I was searching for hotels and resort I found out Fraser's Silverpark Resort was the most pleasant one with reasonable price.I booked a 2 rooms apartment c/w cooking facilities with the view. All the booking was done by sms. After banked-in RM100 as the deposit for booking, I have a very big doubt which I'm not supposed to have after paid the money.  That is "what if it was a scam?? Somehow the day has come and we started our journey. Haha..here comes the adventurous journey.

None of us know the way. I was just getting direction from my friend via phone in all our way (thanks to Selvi akka). It was very easy actually, if you follow the Subang road (the one which lead to old airport but don't go to the old airport! just take the ramp which have Subang/Ipoh/Penang Toll signboard). So after you take the ticket at the toll gate, go all along the way following the signboard Damansara then Sungai Buloh (you will pass by the bridge restaurant), then you will pass-by Sg. Buloh Hospital, then Rawang, enter the Rawang toll (pay RM3.40), then you will stop at the traffic light and go straight and turn right. Now you are in Rawang Town. From Rawang, there were very less signboard, so please follow the Serendah way to reach Kuala Kubu Bahru town.

The reason I'm telling to follow the signboard coz you won't be able to see a single word of FRASER HILL in any signboard till you reach Kuala Kubu Bahru. At KKB you'll see a petrol station (Shell) and there you'll see the 1st signboard of Fraser Hill and Chiling Waterfalls. Yes that is the right way. Okay if you wanted to have some foods, tit-bits or any purchases, make sure it must be before this signboard. Coz there is no shops after you reach up the hill.

You will be seeing a beautiful big Pillayar temple on your right. At the very opposite of the temple, there is a big welcoming signboard and the MOST important that you have to notice is, the time slot to go up the hill. At the time we went there, it was open for all vehicle and NO TIME SLOTS. So we were just headed up. Along the curvy road journey, you will see a small temple named Sri Muniswarar Veerapathra Kaliamman. The Malaysian Tamil movie Yantra's most scenes was shot here. This temple had a high vibration. If you get in you will know...:)

 Sri Muniswarar Veerapathra Kaliamman

Then the next thing you'll be seeing is the Selangor Dam. Its a cool view. Because the sky and the dam will be in same blue. And further more up, you will come across the Chiling Waterfalls. The water is crystal clear and its really chilling...:) Quite safe and its open area....no changing room or toilet been built here.

Then heading up further more you will reach road to Fraser Hill and Kuala Lipis. So here you need to climb up a curvy road for about 20 minutes. The road is quite dangerous but if you control the speed limit then there shouldn't be a problem till you reach Fraser's welcome arch. Okay this is the one way road and 8km more to the Fraser Hill. Around 10 minutes you will be exactly at the clock tower of Fraser Hill.

Its a very small town and the directions are there so you can easily find your apartment, hotel or banglo. Well as I've said earlier our apartment was Fraser's Silverpark Resort...so here it is tadaaa....! Wait, not the wood house ya...absolutely not that one...:) I'm pointing the board actually...

And guess what..? The arrangement which I've done via phone, were all NOT SCAM..! Its 100% original and genuine service. If you would like to enjoy what we enjoyed please contact Cik Azizah 012-5015548. So here I would like to thank to the blogger of http://mari-bercuti.blogspot.com/ where I get the information about the accommodation.

Here are few photos of our stay...

And about the washrooms and the water supplies including the heater...there are no problem at all. So no worry guys. Its such a convenient accommodation for all age group.

Fraser Hill do have some activity range areas. This picture below was taken at Allan's Water. Its a recreational park which have cycle boat ride. It's RM6.00 per ride for 15mins (actually you can take how long you want and say the paddle got problem..hehehe...we used that trick..!) I and Prema went for it. It was like Anaconda movie feeling. The surrounding water was super dark green and its really eerie...!! Everyone must try this...:)
