Novel Plain Jane...symbolises Me about 60%

This story book was highly recommended by my cousin sis. She said you read “Plain Jane” you’ll like it. So I checked the availability of the book at MPH customer service. Yeah, the MPH at One Utama outlet have 2 copies and I immediately reserved 1 for me. I bought this book while coming back home after work. It was on 19th October 2010.

I start reading “Plain Jane” the next day. It is a story about a gal named, Kis…Balkis…Siti Nurbalkis binti Sulaiman, in tan, black eyes and soft and small curly hair, with the height 161cm and weight 60kg and her BMI was around 18.9 – 24.9 which was normal and more important not obesity. But her dissatisfaction was about people who would like to say she is plum even though her BMI was in normal category. As a final year psychology student who is staying at campus hostel, with simple and plain outlook, who have a wonderful family and a best ever friend, Lee…Lilee…Tengku Aklilee bt Tengku Ramli. Kis enjoys living as how she is being. Her one and only problem was her great enemy, the wanna-be gals leader, Ana..!

Yes, this is how the story starts on. It was all about Kis and the things happening around her and the guys she met in her life. She crazily admires Arman, the Jawa guy, her uni-mate cum band member and also 1 of the wanna-be gals’ boyfriend. Apis Milo, the guy who looks after the shop in the university campus. Khir, the pharmacist, the guy who helped her in finding wheelchair for her psychology class experiment. And Daniel Adam, aka Zaniel…Zanny the Danny, the MD of Digital Life, who get cheated by her experiment..and later on falls for her..! Who are these guys and how they get involved in her life..? What was the impacts and changes that she gets in her life from them?

It’s a must read story by all the simple looking girls including me, who are eagerly waiting for their Mr.Darcy (the hero in Jane Austen’s book, the favourite hero of Kis). I can say 60% of the story had happened in my life too. The moral of the story was awesome and meaningful. The ways she narrated was so simple and easy to understand and imagine. Yes I used to imagine the story in my mind while reading it…and I’m sure all of you will do the same right..? right or not..?
